The successful candidate will be tasked with upholding the cleanliness and organization of the store in accordance with Dis-Chem’s hygiene standards. Responsibilities will encompass the store floor, stockroom, dispensary, administrative office, and canteen.
Minimum Requirements:
Essential:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- At least 6 months of cleaning experience
- Proficient command of the English language
- Basic customer service skills
- Proficiency in an additional language relevant to the area
- Willingness and ability to work retail hours
Advantageous:
- Bilingual
- Previous experience in retail store cleaning
Job Specification:
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the store, shop floor, and communal areas prior to opening.
- Establish routines to ensure all areas of the store are kept to a high standard of cleanliness.
- Ensure the canteen and restrooms are consistently clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Be available during operational hours to address cleaning needs as they arise.

- Display wet floor signs prominently at both ends when cleaning the floor.
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor while assisting customers.
